The useful size of one

An empty field can accept almost anything. Dayclip adds a constraint before the field: only one card belongs under the clip today. That small limit turns saving into selection. The maker must decide which artifact deserves this particular local date rather than simply placing it beside everything else.

A title and wall line make the decision more concrete. They give a short-lived object enough context to stand alone, without inviting an endless thread around it. The object might be a sketch, a compile or a window of light. What matters is that it belongs to a day with an ending.

The ability to lift the pin before midnight leaves room for revision. Selection need not be instant or irreversible from the first click. When the date changes, the previous folio becomes a sealed drawer and the new day begins empty. This creates a different rhythm from an accumulating feed: each opening is another small decision rather than a demand to extend yesterday.

The folio stores one pinned card for each browser-local date. Before midnight the pin can be lifted and the selection changed. Prior dates appear as sealed drawers when the calendar rolls forward. The current card and history remain in browser storage; clearing that storage removes them. A public wall and an on-chain registry are not connected.
